CORN REMOVAL REACHES 19% OF THE PLANNED AREA IN PARANÁ, REPORTS DERAL

The harvest of the first corn crop (summer) in Paraná reaches 19% of the estimated area, an increase of 6 percentage points in one week, according to the Department of Rural Economy (Deral), of the state’s agriculture and supply department. Of the crops, 68% are in good condition (compared to 70% last week); 27% in average condition (compared to 25%) and 5% in poor condition (5% in the previous week). The stages of corn crops are as follows: 3% are in flowering; 27% in fruiting and 70% in the ripening phase. In turn, the planting of winter corn, second crop or second crop, reached 22% of the estimated area, according to Deral. Of the total, 99% of the crops were in good condition and 1% were average. The crops were in the following phases: 53% in germination and 47% in vegetative development.
