Corn ethanol production is rapidly expanding in Brazil, with projections indicating it could comprise 40% of the country’s ethanol supply within four years. For the 2025/26 harvest, corn ethanol is expected to reach 9.49 billion liters, or 27.9% of the total supply—up from 22.7% in 2024/25. In 2024 alone, 7.08 billion liters of corn ethanol were supplied, accounting for 22.5% of the total 31.47 billion liters distributed, marking a 2-point rise from 2023.
