BRAZIL’S SUGAR EXPORTS REACH 1.068 MILLION TONS IN THE FIRST WEEK OF DECEMBER

The average daily revenue obtained from Brazilian exports of sugar and other molasses reached US$ 61.24 million in December’s first seven working days, according to data from the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex). So far in December, the average daily export is 152.60 thousand tons. About 1.07 million tons of sugar were exported in December, generating US$ 428.67 million in revenues and an average price of US$ 401.30 per ton. When compared to the daily average of US$ 31.72 million in December 2021, the value obtained daily by sugar exports in December 2022 increased by 93.1%, whereas the daily volume was up 90.6% from December 2021 (84.50 thousand tons daily).
