Brazilian soybean crop 2019/20 should grow 2%

The 2019/20 Brazilian soybean crop has the potential to reach 121.9 million tons, up 2%, points out the most recent survey – in April – of the chief analyst at DATAGRO Grains, Flávio Roberto de França Júnior. Productivity is estimated at 3.306 kg / ha and oilseed processing in 2020 is expected to reach 45 million tonnes, an increase of 5%. The 2019/20 Brazilian corn crop is expected to reach 25.7 million tons, down 1%. In turn, the second harvest has the potential to add up to 76.2 million tons, a volume practically equal to that recorded in the previous cycle. If the estimates are confirmed, the total Brazilian corn production in the 2019/20 season should be around 101.9 million tons, a stable amount in comparison with the previous harvest. Shipments, in 2020, should be close to 37 million tons, down 12%. In addition, the harvest of the summer crop has so far reached 78.1% of the area and the planting of the 2nd. harvest is in 98.6% of the predicted area.
