BRAZIL UNLOCKS TWO NEW MARKETS IN AUSTRALIA AND COSTA RICA

Brazil celebrates sanitary approvals for seafood imports by Australia and therapeutic products in Costa Rica, marking the addition of two new markets to its roster of 11 openings this year, totaling 91 since last year. These expansions are expected to boost trade flows and reinforce confidence in Brazil’s sanitary control system. Costa Rica, a crucial destination for Brazilian agricultural products, imported $272 million in exports in 2023, while Australia received $293 million worth of agribusiness products, with 74% being agricultural sales. Efforts led by Brazil’s Ministry of Agriculture underscore the country’s resurgence on the international stage, showcasing its credibility in unlocking new markets under Minister Carlos Fávaro’s leadership.
