BRAZIL: TRADE SURPLUS REACHED US$ 6.7 BILLION IN NOVEMBER

The trade balance registered a USD 6.675 billion surplus in November, compared to the USD 1.110 billion in the same period last year. According to the Economy Minister, this is the best result for the month in the historical series that started in 1989. The result last month was 28.164 billion dollars in exports, up 30.5% from November 2021, while imports reached 21.489 billion dollars, a drop of 5.5%. Export dynamics were due to an increase of 8.0% in product prices, compared to November 2021, while the volume sold rose 27.2%. In the economic activity, agriculture exports increased by 60.8%, the extractive industry grew by 34.4%, and the manufacturing industry, by 21.5%.
