BRAZIL TO BECOME THE LEADER IN FERTILIZER PRODUCTION IN LATIN AMERICA

Petrobras and the Federal Government revealed their evaluation of the schedule and economic viability to restart work at the largest fertilizer industry in Latin America. Petrobras will re-enter the fertilizer sector in Brazil and resume operations at its nitrogen fertilizer factory in Paraná. In addition, there are solid intentions to resume building UFN3 in Três Lagoas, which was stopped in 2014 when it was about 82% complete. Once finished, this unit will have a remarkable output capacity of 3,200 tons of urea, making it Latin America’s largest fertilizer manufacturing plant.
