BRAZIL: SURPLUS REACH USD 1323 BN IN THE 2ND WEEK OF SEPTEMBER

The Brazilian trade balance registered a trade surplus of US$ 1.323 billion in the second week of September (5th to 11th). According to data released this Monday, 12, by the country’s Ministry of Economy, the balance resulted from US$ 6.214 billion in exports and US$ 4.891 billion in imports. In September, the trade surplus topped US$ 2.342 billion up to the 11th, with exports at US$ 9.572 billion and imports at US$ 7.230 billion. Year-to-date, the trade balance accumulated a surplus of US$ 46.217 billion. Exports increased by 37.4% daily in September compared to the same month the previous year. The daily average of imports climbed by 26.7% in the same period.
