BRAZIL SUGARCANE PROJECT CARRIES OUT A TRADE MISSION IN PANAMA

From May 23 to May 25, a trade mission to Panama will feature 19 Brazilian companies. The mission involves technical visits to mills and meetings with the largest sugar companies in the country. Suppliers from Brazil will exhibit their products, equipment, solutions, and services for producing sugar, ethanol, bioenergy, and all other byproducts from sugarcane. Law 355 of January 2023, which was adopted by the Panamanian government, permits the use of bioethanol. Both the benefits of ethanol production and the importance of diversifying energy in favor of renewable sources are being explored in Brazil. Flavio Castellari, Apla’s executive director and coordinator of the mission, stated that “Brazil is a reference” and that “our solutions have the necessary technology to serve all sugar mills and groups around the world.”
