BRAZIL: EXPORTS GROW 23.2% IN THE 1ST WEEK OF APRIL

The Brazilian trade balance had a surplus of US$ 3.352 billion in the first week of April, and the trade flow reached US$ 11.675 billion due to exports worth US$ 7.513 billion and imports of US$ 4.161 billion. In the year, exports totaled US$ 83.686 billion, and imports cost US$ 64.49 billion, with a positive balance of US$ 19.196 billion and a trade flow of US$ 148.177 billion. The numbers were updated this Monday (10/4). Comparing the averages up until the first week of April 2023 (US$ 1,878.36 million) with those recorded in the same period in April of last year (US$ 1,524.72 million), exports increased by 23.2%. However, when comparing the daily average for April 2022 ($1,091.73 million) with the average for the first week of April 2023 ($1,040.35 million), there was a 4.7% decline in imports.
