BRAZIL BREAKS SOYBEAN OIL EXPORTS RECORD IN JUST OVER EIGHT MONTHS

Brazil set a record in soybean oil exports in 2022 after reaching the highest revenue level seen since 2018, when the government started collecting data on these shipments. From January to mid-August, data from the Special Secretariat for Foreign Trade and International Affairs of the Ministry of Economy show that Brazil has already shipped 1.59 million tonnes abroad, resulting in partial revenue of US$ 2.5 billion. Compared with last year’s results, the revenue growth for soy oil export is already 25%. “This is a spectacular performance,” emphasized the content director of Canal Rural, Giovani Ferreira. Aside from revenue, Ferreira stated that the current year should set a record for the volume of soybean oil exported.
