AGRURAL LOWERS FORECAST FOR SOYBEAN HARVEST TO 147.7 MILLION TONS

Consultancy AgRural has revised downward its forecast for Brazil’s 2023-24 soybean crop, now estimating 147.7 million tons, compared to the previous 150.1 million tons, due to productivity losses in Paraná and Mato Grosso do Sul. The harvest reached 40% of the cultivated area, despite the delay in some sections. The planting of off-season corn for the Center-South of Brazil reached 73% of the area. The soybean crop projection was revised downward due to the combined effects of heat and irregular rainfall.
