AGRICULTURE EXPORTS HIT RECORD REVENUES IN FEBRUARY

Brazil’s agriculture exports have set a new revenue record for the second consecutive month, with USD 11.63 billion in February. This is an unprecedented value for the month and represents a 19.7% increase compared to February 2023. The record-breaking revenue was driven by four products: sugar, cotton, green coffee, and beef. Of these, sugar saw the most significant increase, with a record shipment of 3.01 million tons in February, a 163.5% increase from the same period last year. This led to a 202% increase in foreign sales value to a record USD 1.58 billion. With a USD 1.05 billion gain in foreign sales, the sugar-alcohol complex contributed significantly to the growth in agriculture exports in February.
