Pátria AgroNegócios estimates that Brazil will harvest 143.18 million tons of soybeans in the 2023-24 season, a drop of 7.4% compared to the 154.61 million tons of the previous season. The new forecast was down by 7.51 million tons from the previous one. The entity highlights that the total drop in Brazilian soybean production for 2023-24 reaches 21.49 million tons in terms of production potential, making it the second highest in Brazil, after only the 2021-2022 harvest, which lost 25 million tons. Rondônia (21.8%), Bahia (17.7%), Mato Grosso (17%), and São Paulo (16.2%) had the most declines compared to the previous harvest.
