Rural growers are facing fertilizer delivery delays as they prepare to sow a new crop. There is no lack of items, as the amounts are high at ports and warehouses, but farmers who took longer to purchase the input may not receive it at the appropriate time. The estimate was made by ICL’s B2B director, Victor Scotton. “There is already a refusal to pull the fertilizer right away. There is no fear of running out of fertilizer. The issue is internal, of just-in-time logistics”, he said, during the Brazilian Fertilizer Congress, in São Paulo. Scotton also stated that the average fertilizer stock in the Brazilian market is roughly 7 million tons. However, current estimates place the volume between 12 and 15 million.
