ORANGE AND TAHITI LIME WERE VALUED WITH REDUCED OFFER

Citrus prices continue to rise this week. According to Cepea, despite the lowered demand, the fruit supply, in general, is smaller. Dry months have reduced the quality of the oranges on the trees. Thus, they ended up not reaching the standard required by the tabletop market and need to be redirected to the industry. In addition, more producers have prioritized contracts with processing industries. The pear orange had an average price of BRL 35.71/box (40.8 kg) on the tree, up 2.01% compared to last week. Ruby orange, in turn, is being sold at an average of BRL 30.08/box, an increase of 0.84% in the same comparison. Tahiti lime prices are expected to continue rising.
