BRAZIL FLAGS E32 GASOLINE BLEND DESPITE CNPE DELAY

Brazil’s Finance Ministry said the latest postponement of the National Energy Policy Council (CNPE) meeting, prompted by shifting geopolitical conditions in the Middle East, will not delay the planned increase in the mandatory ethanol blend in gasoline from 30% to 32% (E32). The government expects the measure to take effect in the coming days and reaffirmed its commitment to expanding demand for biofuels, including ethanol, biodiesel and sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). A decision on raising the biodiesel blend to B16 remains under technical review, although the economic team continues to target implementation later this year.
