MATO GROSSO DO SUL POSTS 2.8% CORN HARVEST AS CROP CONDITIONS REMAIN FIRM

Mato Grosso do Sul’s second corn crop harvest reached 2.8% of the planted area, or about 46,000 hectares, by July 3, according to Aprosoja/MS. The survey found 70.8% of fields in good condition, 18.3% rated fair and 10.9% poor. Northern and Northeastern regions continue to report the strongest crop performance, while frost affected areas along the southern border remain under close assessment. Above average rainfall delayed the start of harvesting, with field activity expected to accelerate in the second half of July. The 2025/26 safrinha crop forecast remains unchanged at 2.206 million hectares, with average yields of 84.2 bags per hectare and output of 11.139 million tonnes
