MATO GROSSO POSTS CORN HARVEST ABOVE 20%, LIFTS 2025/26 SALES PACE

Mato Grosso’s 2025/26 corn harvest reached 20.86% of the projected area by the third week of June, up 9.57 percentage points from the previous week and ahead of the 14.08% recorded a year earlier. Favorable weather supported fieldwork, with the Mid North region leading harvest progress at 29.92% of planted area. Imea maintained its yield estimate at 120.28 bags per hectare and projected output at 53.35 million tonnes, based on a planted area of 7.39 million hectares. Commercialization also advanced, with producers having sold 47.32% of expected 2025/26 production, up from 45.84% in May. Forward sales for the 2026/27 crop reached 4.50% of projected output, continuing the upward trend seen in recent months.
