Corn harvesting in Mato Grosso reached 1.94% of planted area in the 2025/26 season, up 1.37 percentage points week-on-week, according to state agribusiness institute Imea. Progress is ahead of the same point last year (0.97%) but below the historical average of 2.67%. Imea projects total output at 52.6 million mt for the cycle, down 5% year-on-year from last season’s record, as lower yields offset a 1.8% expansion in planted area to 7.39 million hectares.
