Brazil obtained authorization to export DDG and DDGS to Chile following the conclusion of sanitary negotiations this week, according to the Ministries of Agriculture and Foreign Affairs. The products, co-products of corn ethanol processing, are used in animal feed and add value to the biofuels chain. Chile imported US$2.2 billion in Brazilian agricultural goods in 2025, concentrated in meats, forestry products, and the soybean complex, indicating potential for feed inputs to gain share. The opening expands outlets for Brazil’s corn-based ethanol industry and may support margins for processors amid growing output. With this move, Brazil reaches 76 market access openings for agribusiness in 2026, reinforcing diversification of export destinations and product mix.
