THE PESTICIDE MARKET IS PROJECTED TO GENERATE R$ 98.7 BILLION IN 2024/25, A 3% INCREASE COMPARED TO 2023/24.

Brazil’s crop protection market reached R$98.7 billion in the 2024/25 season, up 3% year-on-year, according to Kynetec Brasil. In USD terms, revenue fell 7% to US$18.1 billion due to BRL depreciation (R$4.94 to R$5.46). The result reverses a 13% decline in 2023/24, when prices dropped sharply despite higher acreage (+1%) and treatment intensity (+9%). The latest cycle saw a 2% expansion in planted area and a 9% increase in crop management practices, offsetting flat pricing. Over five seasons, revenues peaked at R$110.1 billion in 2022/23, with application costs rising from R$37.93/ha to R$54.15/ha amid supply disruptions linked to China. For 2025/26, the market is forecast to grow 8% in BRL terms, supported by soybean and corn acreage and higher input use.
