DDG PRODUCTION IS EXPECTED TO EXCEED 15 MILLION TONS BY 2030.

Brazil’s corn ethanol expansion is set to boost DDG/DDGS output, tightening links with livestock and export markets. Industry estimates point to over 60 biorefineries by 2030, with co-product supply reaching 15 million tons. Domestic demand could exceed 10 million tons, led by cattle, swine, and dairy. In 2025, Brazil slaughtered 46.9 million cattle, including 10 million in feedlots, key DDG consumers; hog slaughter totals ~70 million head annually. Beef exports account for ~35% of output, with China taking over 1.6 million tons and driving efficiency gains. DDG adoption supports feedlot, semi-feedlot, and pasture-intensive systems. Export channels are expanding, with shipments already reaching Asia and the Middle East; Inpasa has shipped 62,000 tons to China and 600,000 tons to Turkey since 2023. Market balance will depend on diversifying demand and supply chain integration.
