In 2023, Brazil’s Central-West region outpaced the Southeast in ethanol supply, a historic first according to ANP data. Slow biofuel market growth led Southeastern sugar-energy firms to prioritize sweetener production, while Central-West plants processing corn saw advancement. Inpasa led individual sales to distributors, hitting a record 2.5 billion liters. Corn ethanol sales from 19 companies totaled 5.45 billion liters, with Inpasa and FS Agrisolutions dominating, responsible for 74.4%. FS Agrisolutions saw a 33.2% yearly increase, totaling 1.53 billion liters across its four companies.
