ITAJAÍ-AÇU PORT COMPLEX HITS 1 MILLION T OF CARGO IN JANUARY/24

In January, the Rio Itajaí-Açu Port Complex handled 1,007,645 tonnes of cargo, with 460,603 tonnes for export and 547,042 tonnes for import. Container operations saw 97,014 TEUs. The month witnessed 80 vessel dockings, distributed across various terminals. Port of Itajaí handled 37,378 tonnes, with Portonave Terminal processing 952,402 tonnes and 97,014 TEUs. Maneuvers in turning basins totaled 80. Port activities are anticipated to resume in May. Teporti terminal demonstrated significant handling volume, while Braskarne recorded no activities. Notably, the Port of Itajaí welcomed the Florida Highway and TRAMMO STANTON ships, showcasing its diverse cargo handling capabilities.
