Silvio Costa Filho, Brazil’s Minister of Ports and Airports, announced that the access channel to the Port of Paranaguá (PR) will be auctioned in August and that the Tecon Santos 10 container terminal, the largest in the Port of Santos, will open in November or December 2025. The government aims to hold around 20 auctions by the end of 2025, attracting over BRL 5 billion in investments. Antaq is reviewing the Santos project, which will eventually be submitted to TCU. On Wednesday (30), three terminals were auctioned at the Port of Paranaguá and one at the Port of Rio de Janeiro, with a record number of competitors.
