GRAND OPENING OF CABEDELO PORT’S NEW STRUCTURE SET FOR THIS MONDAY (05)

On Monday (5), Governor João Azevêdo and Minister Silvio Costa Filho inaugurated the upgraded Cabedelo Port, marking the terminal’s 90th anniversary. With over BRL 200 million invested and additional BRL 130 million planned, the project aims to boost the port’s capacity, logistics efficiency, and sustainability. Key improvements include dredging to accommodate larger ships, up to 55 thousand tons, potentially doubling the number of monthly ships. The upgrades also feature renovated administrative offices with welfare facilities, warehouse requalification, and the installation of Brazil’s first port-based solar energy system, and environmental upgrades to prevent waste from entering the Paraíba River.
