2024-2025 SOYBEAN HARVEST IN MATO GROSSO DO SUL HITS 50.5% OF THE AREA

The 2024-2025 soybean harvest in Mato Grosso do Sul has achieved 50.5% of the monitored area, with 2.2 million hectares harvested despite water constraints on 2.1 million hectares (47% of the total area). The south harvests 57.1%, followed by the central (44.4%) and northern (32.6%) regions. While southern and southeast crops are up to 47.6% in poor conditions, northern and western crops range in favorable conditions up to 90%. Due to drought and high temperatures, intermittent rainfalls ended the cycle early, with 79% of the region harvested by March 14. Meanwhile, 48.2% of the second corn crop has been planted in the south, 40.8% in the north, and 35.1% in the center, totaling 936 thousand hectares.
