ITAJAÍ PORT DEPTH INCREASES THANKS TO DREDGING EFFORTS

Since January, APS has been dredging at the Port of Itajaí, increasing the complex’s operational capacity. On February 28, the Navy approved additional drafts of 13.6m in the internal channel, 14m in the external channel, and 13.6m in the Evolution Basin. The operation involved the Utrecht dredger, with a capacity of 18 thousand m³, and had constant monitoring to achieve the ideal depth. According to Anderson Pomini, president of APS, the problems were effectively solved, reestablishing operational safety and efficiency. The result enables the port to operate more efficiently, highlighting APS’s dedication to maintaining optimal performance.
