MILLS HAVE ALREADY FIXED 72.5% OF THE EXPORT SUGAR VOLUME FOR THE 2025/26 HARVEST

Brazilian sugar mills have already fixed 72.5% of the export volume for the 2025/26 harvest, totaling 21.75 million tons at an average price of 18.80 cents per pound (R$2,495 per ton). In January alone, fixations rose by 3.5 million tons. While this rate is lower than in 2021/22 and 2023/24, when 75% was fixed by the same period, it’s higher than last year’s 59.2%. For the 2026/27 harvest, fixations are estimated at 11–12%, slightly below expectations. The data comes from Archer Consulting, based on January 31, 2025.
