HYDROUS ETHANOL SALES ARE THE HIGHEST SINCE NOVEMBER 2020

The ethanol market in São Paulo saw strong prices and high sales in January, according to Cepea/Esalq-USP. Hydrated ethanol averaged R$2.7672 per liter, up 5.1% from December, while anhydrous ethanol rose 5.53% to R$3.1397 per liter. Sales of hydrated ethanol in the spot market reached the highest volume since November 2020, surpassing 427 million liters. In the last week of January, hydrated ethanol prices increased by 0.31% to R$2.8227 per liter, while anhydrous ethanol rose 0.42% to R$3.221 per liter.
