2024-25 CENTER-CERRADO HARVEST REACHES RECORD AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTIVITY

Thanks to favorable weather and efficient operations, the 2024–25 harvest in the Center-Cerrado has the potential to produce a large amount. With an average productivity of 3,509 kg/ha (up 9.6%), Brazil’s soybean production is projected to surpass 166.33 million tons, an increase of 18.61 million tons over the previous cycle. Constant rainfall since October 2024 has maintained soil moisture, which has fostered the growth of crops. However, temperatures are expected to be higher than average from February through April, with prolonged droughts. In regions like Mato Grosso, where harvesting started in January, excellent results are already being produced. Planting more land and possibly reaching record highs boost Brazil’s standing in the global grain market.
