BRAZILIAN ETHANOL EXPORTS CONTUNUE TO FALL I NOVEMBER, BUT PRICES RISE

Brazilian ethanol exports have remained low in the last months of the year. In November, mills shipped 110.87 million liters of the biofuel, a 41.6% drop compared to the 189.84 million liters shipped the previous year. Compared to October, the drop was 45.6%. Detailed export data was released by the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (MDIC). Traded, on average, at US$ 603.96 per cubic meter, ethanol saw an annual price increase of 1.6% – in November 2023, the biofuel costs an average of US$ 594.55/m³. Compared to the previous month, the increase was 9.1%. In November, the main countries to receive Brazilian biofuel were: United States (37.49 thousand liters); South Korea (27.83 thousand L); Ghana (15.44 thousand L); Netherlands (11.71 thousand L); and Philippines (7.74 thousand L).
