BNDES approved R$373.46 million to aid CCGL Group in restoring the Luiz Fogliatto Maritime Terminal (Termasa) at the Port of Rio Grande (RS), damaged by heavy rains in May. The funding includes R$280 million for reconstructing the pier and R$93.46 million for working capital to support climate adaptation and economic recovery. The terminal is vital for exporting grains and products from southern Brazil and neighboring countries. Termasa will implement safety measures to prevent future accidents. The initiative aligns with federal efforts to rebuild Rio Grande do Sul after climate disasters. Since May, BNDES has provided R$24 billion in credit to the state. CCGL, which processes 3.4 million liters of milk daily, supports 172,000 rural producers across 350 municipalities.
