WHEAT HARVEST IN RS REACHES 48% OF THE AREA, SAYS EMATER

The wheat harvest in Rio Grande do Sul reached 48% of the cultivated area, according to Emater. The crops and cereals in the Planalto and Alto Uruguai regions are better and meet commercial standards. However, the quality falls short of expectations in the mid-plateau, northwest, central, and western border regions. Ten percent of the soybean land was planted for the 2024–2025 crop, representing a 7% advance in a single week. The main areas of this development were large fields and places where there was no wheat to harvest or rice to cultivate. The plant stand reflects good soil moisture and temperature, which is satisfactory.
