SÃO PAULO SEES A 9.2% INCREASE IN AGRICULTURE EXPORTS BY SEPTEMBER

Between January and September, São Paulo’s agriculture exports reached USD 22.69 billion, a 9.2% increase from 2023, with a surplus of USD 18.45 billion, according to IEA-Apta. The state’s 43.5% agricultural exports reduced the USD 4.47 billion trade imbalance. Exports grew for orange juice (27.5%), beef (39%), and green coffee (121.6%), whereas soybeans and raw/refined sugar declined by 57.5% and 12.4%, respectively. The sector exported 79.7% of its overseas sales in juices (USD 2 billion), meat (USD 2.49 billion), forest products (USD 2.35 billion), soybean complex (USD 2.10 billion), and sugar-alcohol complex (USD 9.15 billion).
