TRADE BALANCE: TRADE FLOW REGISTERS USD 34.8 BILLION IN OCTOBER

The Brazilian trade balance recorded exports totaling USD 274.5 billion from January to the third week of October 2024, resulting in a trade flow of USD 486.6 billion and a surplus of USD 62.4 billion, according to the Ministry of Development, Industry, Commerce, and Services (Secex-MDIC). The daily average trade flow was USD 2.48 billion, with a daily surplus of USD 231.58 million. Compared to the same period in 2023, there was a 4.1% growth. In October alone, exports reached USD 19 billion, with a surplus of USD 3.24 billion. Export increases were seen in products like beef, cellulose, and aluminum ores, while declines were noted in agriculture and extractive industry sectors.
