PARANÁ PORTS EXPERIENCE IMPRESSIVE 8.6% GROWTH FROM JANUARY TO SEPTEMBER

Cargo handling at the ports of Paranaguá and Antonina rose by 8.6% between January and September 2024 when compared to 2023. Driven mostly by the export of soybeans, sugar, containers, fertilizers, and cereals, the volume of imports and exports increased from 47.9 million to 52.1 million tons. While sugar expanded 41% in bulk and 49% in bags, soybeans grew by 8%, amounting to 12.3 million tons. Cereals increased by 64%; fertilizer imports by 11%; With 1.17 million TEUs, container handling likewise showed a 34% increase.
