STRATEGIC RAIL AND PORT DEVELOPMENTS SET TO TRANSFORM GRAIN EXPORTS FROM MATO GROSSO

Lucas do Rio Verde in Mato Grosso is key to expanding the Ferronorte railway, which aims to transform grain transport in the region. The railway, under construction by Rumo, will enhance cargo flow to the Port of Santos within five years, bolstering Brazil’s grain export capacity. Ferronorte will include terminals every 150-200 kilometers, with the first in Primavera do Leste. Santos Port, which supplies Southeast Asia, will expand by 10 million tonnes to handle increased demand. Investments in rail networks will prevent logistical issues and support the region’s growing agribusiness prominence.
