OPTIMISM REMAINS HIGH FOR THE 2024-25 SOYBEAN HARVEST DESPITE DRY WEATHER

Though delays and bad weather abound, Brazil has begun sowing the soybean harvest for 2024–2025 with great expectations. Conab projects 166.28 million tons, while Safras & Mercado projects 171.78 million tons – a 12.8% increase over the previous harvest. The planted area is predicted to rise to 47.4 million hectares by 2.1% growth. Productivity can rise from 3,295 kg/ha to 3,642 kg/ha as well. The domestic crushing sector as well as the worldwide need for biofuels support expectations of more exports.
