SUGAR SHIPMENTS SET TO HIT 3.37 MILLION TONS

WILLIAMS BRASIL reports that 79 ships were waiting to load 3.378 million tons of sugar at Brazilian ports in the week ended September 18. With 2.566 million tons, the Port of Santos leads followed by Paranaguá (495,686 tons), Imbituba (188,090 tons), São Sebastião (64,500 tons), Maceió (33,000 tons), and Recife (30,420 tons). Among the cargo are VHP (3.289 million tons), TBC (48,070 tons), and Cristal B150 (40,500 tons). With an average price of USD 450.30 per ton, Brazil exported 1.66 million tons of sugar in September, earning USD 840.4 million.
