GRAIN HARVEST EXPECTED TO REACH 298.6 MILLION TONS, CONAB SAYS

Weather adversities led to a 6.6% drop in Brazil’s grain production for the 2023-2024 harvest, reaching 298.6 million tons. Despite the decrease, this harvest should still rank as the country’s second-largest. The cultivated area sees a 1.5% increase, and soybeans are expected to reach 147.38 million tons despite a 4.7% drop. Corn production also declined by 12.3%. In contrast, cotton plume and rice production climbed, with cotton hitting a record level.
