AGRURAL: OFF-SEASON CORN HARVEST REACHES 95% OF THE AREA IN CENTER-SOUTH BRAZIL

The 2024 off-season corn harvest in the Center-South of Brazil reached 95% of the cultivated area by Thursday (1st), compared to 91% in the previous week and 64% in the same period of 2023, according to AgRural. Mato Grosso’s harvest is virtually over, and thanks to good weather, output surpasses projections. In other Brazilian states, the harvest is mostly complete with strong productivity in most of Goiás but lower productivity in Paraná, Mato Grosso do Sul, São Paulo, and Minas Gerais due to irregular rains and heat. Though suffering major weather losses, Paraná’s northern area still has corn to be harvested.
