SOYBEAN PLANTING AREA IN BRAZIL FOR 2024/25

Brazil is set to plant 46.89 million hectares of soybeans in the 2024/25 season, a 1.5% increase from the previous year, marking 18 years of growth. Expected yield is 3,554 kg per hectare, potentially reaching 166.64 million tons, a 12% rise. The increase will be widespread but more pronounced in the North and Northeast regions. In contrast, the first corn crop will cover 3.89 million hectares, down from 4.05 million, with production expected at 23.35 million tons, a 1% decline. The total corn area for 2024/25 is projected at 20.74 million hectares, with a stable production of 116.95 million tons.
