NEW TECHNOLOGY ENHANCES SHIP OPERATIONS IN BRAZILIAN PORTS

VLI successfully integrated the Ship Loading and Disembarkation Planning System (Speed) at the Inácio Barbosa Maritime Terminal (TMIB) in Sergipe with other ports, including Tiplam and MA. The new technology boosts operational efficiency by lowering operating time by 50 hours per month and optimizing cargo handling. Before Speed, planning was solely concerned with ship stability, at the expense of time. The software now supports optimized simulations, enhancing safety and operational capability. TMIB has been a key dry and liquid bulk terminal since 2013, supporting the region’s offshore industry and agribusiness.
