Porto do Açu Operações, part of the Prumo Group, received the I-REC (International Renewable Energy Certificate) for using 100% clean energy in 2023. The certification, through Comerc Energia, confirmed the use of 1,711 MWh of renewable energy across its facilities. This milestone aligns with their ESG goals, also recognized by the Ecoports seal for environmental, social, and governance practices. The I-REC complies with the GHG Protocol, ensuring adherence to international standards for greenhouse gas emission quantification. Porto do Açu has secured renewable energy for 2024 and 2025 to maintain its environmental performance.
