BRAZIL HARVESTED 96.8% OF THE 2023/24 SUMMER CORN AND 74.2% HARVESTED, REPORTS CONAB

As of July 14, the 2023/24 Brazilian summer corn harvest reached 96.8% of the sown area, up 1.8 percentage points from the previous week but 0.3 points behind last year, reported the National Supply Company (Conab). Goiás, Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Paraná, and Santa Catarina have completed the harvest. Rio Grande do Sul reached 99%, Bahia 97.7%, Piauí 90%, and Maranhão 72%. The second crop corn harvest reached 74.2% of the area, up 13.1 points from the previous week and 34.9 points from last year. Mato Grosso leads with 94.1% harvested, while Maranhão is at 36%.
