ADVANCED SALES OF SOYBEAN SURPASS THOSE OF THE SAME PERIOD LAST YEAR

According to Safras & Mercado, the advanced sale of Brazil’s new soybean crop has reached 14.6%, based on a hypothetical output of 149.7 million tons in 2024-25. This rate beats the 11.1% reported the previous year, despite being 6% below the historical average. The crop will be seeded in September, growing nearly 5% last month. For the already harvested 2023-24 harvest, 71.8% had been sold by July 5, compared to 66.1% last year, but with a 4.9-point delay compared to the previous five years.
