The Suape Industrial Port Complex will remove temporary access over the Tatuoca River, with demolition expected within 60 days. Fishing communities were informed on May 13, and the State Environment Agency issued the license on June 5. Constructed in 2009 and partially removed in 2021, this access had increased fish abundance. Complete removal will restore upstream hydrodynamics, benefiting the aquatic ecosystem and expanding the mangrove area. Carlos Cavalcanti, Suape’s Sustainability Director, highlighted the environmental improvements. A Preliminary Environmental Report was prepared, and standard equipment will be used for demolition, with environmental monitoring throughout.
