ANEC ESTIMATES CORN EXPORTS FROM BRAZIL AT 1.02 MILLION IN JUNE

According to the National Association of Cereal Exporters (Anec), Brazil’s corn export forecast for June is 1.02 million tons, about 200,000 tons less than June 2023. Last week, shipments were expected to be 1.24 million tons. The recent rise of the dollar to its highest level against the real in 18 months has stimulated the corn market in Mato Grosso, during an accelerated second crop harvest. However, experts interviewed by Reuters expect stronger exports from July and August, not in June.
